Architectural Designer II - Revit Specialist

Are you a Revit power user who loves both the technical precision of BIM and the creative challenge of sustainable design? Do you want to be THE go-to Revit expert on a collaborative team while working on meaningful residential and waterfront projects?

We’re looking for a skilled Revit Architectural Designer to join our mission-driven team. This isn’t just production work—you’ll be our Revit champion, helping us complete our transition from ArchiCAD to Revit while creating construction documents for sustainable residential and small commercial projects that make a real difference for the Chesapeake Bay region.

This is a full-time position for someone early in career, who is confident working independently but also thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in designing and documenting sustainable residential and commercial projects of moderate size and complexity. We’re a growing firm, which means you’ll be exposed to every phase of the architectural process, with real potential to grow in responsibility, leadership, and licensure support.

Why This Role is Different

You’ll be our Revit leader. As we transition from ArchiCAD to Revit (completing by end of 2026), you’ll serve as the primary internal resource for Revit questions, help establish office standards and templates, and mentor the team. This is a chance to shape how we work.

Meaningful projects. Our work focuses on sustainable residential design, Chesapeake Bay Critical Area compliance, and waterfront properties. You’ll work on projects that balance client needs with environmental stewardship—not cookie-cutter developments.

Real work-life balance:

  • Summer Fridays off (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
  • Alternate Fridays off (Labor Day to Memorial Day)
  • Flexible daily start/end times

Support for your growth:

  • Partial AIA membership and licensure exam reimbursement
  • Continuing education budget
  • Direct mentorship from principal architect

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate consultant information into architectural drawings
  • Assist with code research, specifications, cost estimates, and municipal compliance calculations
  • Support construction administration including reviewing submittals and site observations

Revit Leadership:

  • Be the go-to person for Revit questions and troubleshooting
  • Help create and maintain Revit templates, families, and standards
  • Contribute to developing office workflows and best practices

Design Support:

  • Create renderings and presentation materials from design sketches
  • Assist with design competition entries and marketing graphics
  • Develop interior elevations and material selections
