USGBC is committed to transforming how our buildings are designed, constructed and operated through LEED (Leader in Energy and Environmental Design). A LEED AP credential distinguishes those with advanced knowledge in green building. Melanie Hartwig-Davis, LEED AP BD+C, passionately incorporates these principals into all of our projects whether or not LEED Certification is a goal.

AACo Citizens Advisory Committee for the 2040 General Development Plan (GDP, Plan2040)

The GDP is Anne Arundel County’s comprehensive plan to guide land use in the County, capitalize on its assets and conserve critical resources. The Plan is reviewed and edited every 10 years to establish the vision for the County for the next 20 years. Melanie Hartwig-Davis represents the AACo environmental organizations as an “at-large” member appointed by County Executive Steuart Pittman.

Maryland League of Conservation Voters (501c4)

Melanie Hartwig-Davis has been on the Maryland LCV Board of Directors since 2014 helping to hold state and local policy makers accountable for protecting our natural resources in an effort to ensure Maryland residents have clean air and clean water.
